“I can’t tell you enough how much you are helping me!” says a client as she leaves her appointment session. Overcome with emotion, she gives me a big hug and leaves, uplifted and ready to take on her day.
Others are coming in, weary, sad, angry, frustrated. They don’t know where to turn. Sitting at the front desk I can feel these emotions fill the atmosphere. Children are nervous, parents are anxious. They are greeted with love and compassion as they fill out the paperwork and then go into session. After the session, they smile at me, they have a bounce in their step and they say, “see ya next week!” That’s what Niagara Life Centre Counselling is about; giving hope where people are having difficulty finding it.
There’s a plaque just outside my office door, that greets people saying, “Hope is an ANCHOR for the SOUL.” Hebrews 6:19. God uses people in everyone’s lives to help them through the rough times.
I see changes from when they first came in, and when they leave, their kind words of thanks, but above all, their smile. God is at work at NLCC and in our clients’ lives. I see it….. from the front desk.
