It’s incredibly difficult to believe that we are nearing the end of 2025! The year has flown by and as I look back over it I am filled with incredible joy at what the Lord has done at Niagara Life Centre.
Our word for the year was JOY, and we have experienced an abundance of joy this year! It wasn’t joy as you might think it to be, there were hard times, difficult decisions, major changes and struggles along the way, but in it all there was an abiding sense of the joy that comes from doing what God has called us to do.
There was joy in watching clients find the help, hope and healing that Christ offers. There was joy in seeing clients grow so profoundly that they were ready to close their file and continue their journey in Christ without us. There was joy in the struggles of staff changes, while we were sorry to see them leave we rejoiced at what God was calling them to next. There was joy in bringing in new board members, and as we released members who had served for many years.
There was joy in the financial difficulties. Yes, joy in those hard, questioning times where we trusted God to provide when we couldn’t see how it would happen. There was joy in the $5 donations as much as we rejoiced in the $1000 donations, and everything in between.
There was joy as we trusted God to do loaves and fishes with each gift and watching him work wonders with the money our faithful supporters gave.
There was joy in the uncertainty knowing that God is a God who never fails when we seek to do his will and are obedient.
There was joy in our 40th Celebration! As we reflected on how far God has brought us, how he has been faithful for over 4 decades we looked forward to what he has planned for NLC in the next 40 years!
Abundant Joy has been our experience this past year!
I just want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support. Firstly and most importantly, for praying for us. Without prayer we cannot do this important and difficult work God has called us to do. Secondly for your generous financial support, which helped us do the work.
As we near the end of 2025 my prayer for you and your family is that the joy of the Lord would flood your hearts and homes in profound ways this Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
