Adopt-a-family

Many of our clients are struggling with stress, loneliness and real financial pressures, especially during this COVID-19 time.

This year, the “Adopt a Family Christmas Project” will take on a new look as we want to continue to share God’s love to our clients during this unusual year!

We are asking for gift certificates – lots of them. Using gift certificates enables Niagara Life Centre to be able to continue to bless each family in a ‘safe’ and ‘distant’ manner and it also allows them to select their own purchases.

Instead of receiving individual family names this year, whatever you are able to donate to NLC is greatly appreciated.  Some suggested gift certificates would be:  Superstore, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire; Gas; Sports Check; Chapters; Shoppers Drug Mart; Giant Tiger; Winners; Restaurants; Amazon; Movies, etc. These cards will be given to our clients in Christmas cards stating that they are coming from members in the community who care for them.

Would you be willing to help us out? Would you be able to support a family this year?

Some comments that clients express are:

  • Wow, I can’t believe this – thank you so much”;
  • “people actually care about me?”;
  • “you just gave me the Christmas that I would never have been able to give my family — thank you soooo much” ……. and some just cry!

This project creates such a fever of excitement for the NLC staff and clients. We look forward once again to see how the Lord will provide for us, through YOU. If you are considering being a part of this, please email Joanne at admin@niagaralifecentre.ca .

It would be appreciated if cards are delivered to the centre by November 20, 2020.

May God bless you as you bless others this Christmas season!
