COUNSELLOR RCC, CPC, MMCC, BRE, OACCPP
Dennis felt the calling to be a counsellor back when he and his wife Arlene were newlyweds and enrolled at Briercrest Bible College and acted as ‘dorm parents’. Dennis’ call became even stronger in the 90s as he found himself gravitated towards counselling friends and family members through problem solving and connecting the dots to help them see the bigger picture.
Dennis has been a counsellor for 14 years and serves individuals and families of all ages and works by coming alongside them and guiding them to take back their own power and see their value through Christ’s love for them. His clients learn to overcome trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, family separations and many other issues through helping them to develop their plans to cope, heal and move forward by setting goals in their personal and professional endeavours. He strongly believes in empowering his clients to find joy through volunteerism and being active in their communities.
Dennis holds a Masters Degree in Christian Counselling and is a member of the Canadian Christian Clinical Counsellors Association, and the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. He is also an Ordained Christian Minister, and a Certified Pastoral Counsellor and a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
Dennis and Arlene have taken on the responsibility of raising their young grandsons as their own in a home filled with love, laughter, and a healthy dose of chaos and perhaps a few too many episodes of Paw Patrol. Dennis and his entire family are active in their church community.
