Nickels, dimes, quarters, loonies, toonies…IT ALL ADDS UP! Let your loose change bring positive life change by supporting the NLC Change is Good Bottle Campaign. It’s easy! Simply pick up bottle for yourself, family or business, fill it and return it. Bottle available at the Centre.

Our 2012 Goal is to distribute 1200 bottles and raise $20,000.00!!

The campaign continues. Call the centre if you are able to fill a bottle. Thank you to all those who have so far participated in this successful campaign.

Thank you to all those who sponsored, hosted, donated and supported financially. Together we raised $18,300.

CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR

Tour guests were enchanted by the stunning décor and unique creations of twelve of Niagara’s finest floral and décor designers who ‘decked the halls’ in this year’s four homes and one church on the 3rd Annual Christmas Home Tour. Thank you to the home owners, decorators, artisans, sponsors, caterers, organizing team and tour guests for your hard work and enthusiasm! Together we raised $13,500.00

ADOPT-A-FAMILY

Sixty one adults and forty five babies, children and teens will be receiving gifts of toys, toiletries, warm clothes, books and groceries through our Adopt a Family Christmas project this year. These tangible gifts of love will be a blessing and are received with gratitude and JOY! Thank you for your generosity.

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISERS

Your gift of time, talent and services through third party fundraisers are greatly appreciated! Thank you to the Chapel Singers for the December 3rd benefit concert at Calvary church, to First Grantham United Church for highlighting NLC during their November mission month, to churches that supported NLC financially with special collections, to Village Church and the Thorold community for donating a portion of the proceeds from the BootWalk, to Fastek for donating their Open House BBQ profits and to Heritage Christian School for the Thanksgiving food drive. Your support is a source of encouragement to us and those we serve. Thank you!

Sarah Korevaar was able to raise $320.00 at a  recent music & games night she organized at Immanuel Orthodox Reformed Church.  This effort was part of a final project for her Recreation and Leisure program at Niagara College.   Thank you Sarah for a job well done!

Thank you to Trade Bank Niagara for the donation of $5,000 Trade Bank dollars!

Generous amounts of gifts and groceries were given out to 76 families this year during our Adopt a Family Christmas Project. As one client said with tears in her eyes, “I can’t believe that people actually care”!  Thank you for all the thoughtful gifts and for making Christmas special for many of our clients.

Homes of Distinction Holiday Home Tour 2010
Our second annual Homes of Distinction Christmas Home Tour was a great success. To view 2010 comments, photos, &  prize winners visit www.nlchometour.com Mark your calendar for the 2011 tour – Friday & Saturday, November 18 & 19!

Over 600 tour guests including 240+ volunteers were inspired with the sights and sounds of Christmas as they toured the seven tour locations!!  The fifteen featured decorators delighted us with brilliant décor ideas, incredible floral designs and a glamorous dining room!  The special treats of freshly baked pies, dark roast coffee, gourmet soups and ice cream cake added to the enjoyment of the tour!

Special thanks to the home owners, decorators, sponsors, caterers, volunteers  and organizing team!!  Special thanks to the Marble Slab Creamery, Starbucks, Nokara Farms, Kaethe Funk and Laurena Tallman.

Special thanks to Doug & Bonnie Chrepyk along with Angela McMillan and Informed Energy Solutions for generously donating advertising in the Homes and Land magazine and The Standard respectively.

Together we provided a delightful tour experience and possibly a Christmas tradition for many, for years to come.  Together we raised much needed support (almost $9,000.00) for Niagara Life Centre to continue offering counseling that gives help and hope to many in the Niagara region!

NLC Annual Banquet and Silent Auction
Thank you so much for your contribution toward our Annual Banquet & Silent Auction Fundraiser this year! Support was shown through table hosts, table sponsors, 300+ guests, business donations, silent auction items, volunteer event helpers, and donations received that evening – through your generousity we were able to raise approx. $25,000!

Canadian Tire Financial Services along with CTFS employee ‘dress down’ days generously donated $6570.00 towards the Young & Pregnant Niagara program and the school programs.

Vineland Craft Festival Thanks to John Leyenhorst/Lincoln Construction for the use of his property and Bethany Youth who served as parking attendants at the Vineland Craft Festival raising $331.00 for NLC
